Job Title: Field Service Engineer – Bently Nevada

Role Summary:
Our team performs installation, configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and provides instructions on Bently Nevada Systems Hardware & Software to protect and monitor various machine types encountered in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemicals, Pulp & Paper, and other process industries.
Essential Responsibilities:
• As a System and Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll work within defined parameters to make decisions and apply concepts to moderately complex issues, resolving issues through immediate action or short-term planning. You’ll work with various machine types (E-Motors, gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, fans, etc.)
• As a System and Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring service jobs are executed within budgeted costs, timely, and in alignment with customer schedules
- Providing technical guidance to a range of customers for emergency problem resolution and support for maintenance and service activities
- Developing your technical knowledge and expertise to provide effective problem resolution and implement innovative solutions
- Supporting the internal Bently Nevada Academy with training sessions and workshops
- Preparing and writing technical reports to share with customers accurately and promptly
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Demonstrated customer-focused mindset with proven responsiveness to customer needs
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Ability to explain complex technical information to customers and technical personnel
• Strong knowledge of network architecture and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC DA & UA)
• Solid electronic and mechanical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach
• Professional proficiency in English
• Ability to travel at short notice, potentially across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and global locations as needed
